Helen Reineke
Helen Reineke, 99, of Edgerton, Mo., formerly of Barry, Mo., passed away, Thursday, March 29, 2007.
She was born on July 18, 1907 to Walter W. and Anna Elizabeth (Jackson) Arnold near Barry, Mo., where she grew up and attended school and later attended Nashua High School.
On November 6, 1926 she was united in marriage to Charley Reineke. After their marriage they lived in Platte County near Barry where they farmed. In 1934 they moved to the Ridgely Community near Edgerton where they continued farming and made their home. Her husband, Charley, passed away on August 21, 1997.
Helen was a member of the Barry Christian Church and later the Ridgely Christian Church.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Robert Reineke in 1984 and Charles Reineke in 1987, son-in-law, Edward Wolfe in 2005, and three brothers.
Helen is survived by two daughters, Ruby Wolfe and Louise “Lou” Mindrup and husband, Gene, all of Kansas City, MO; eight grandchildren, Chuck and wife Corky, Gary, Susan and husband Brett, Karl and wife Cindy, Ronnie and wife Therese, Marsha and husband Steve, Keith and wife Vicky and Cindy and husband Tony; twelve great-grandchildren; Stacia, Seanica, Jason, Krista, Nicolle, Shawn, Seth, Chad, Reece, Grace, Blake and Brittany; three great-great-grandchildren, Zachary, Jaden, and Pyper; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
FUNERAL SERVICE: 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 2nd, at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville, Mo.
BURIAL: Ridgely Cemetery
VISITATION: One hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
