Helen M. (Blanton) Lee
Helen M. Lee, 86, of Kansas City, MO, went home to be with her Lord on June 5, 2009.
Helen was born in 1923 at Conception Junction, MO to Claude and Grace Blanton. She was the youngest of five children, Wayne Curtis, Juanita Opal, Eugene Victor, Theron Lavell, and Helen Madonna.
Helen married Ervin Lee of Waverly, MO. They were blessed with three wonderful children: Ronald Ervin Lee, Bobby Dale Lee, and Janice Kay (Lee) Cockrill. Helen worked at National Bellas Hess for 7 years and then for the U.S. Postal Service for 25 years. The love and focus of her life was her family. She also loved to travel which she and Ervin did extensively prior to his death and which she continued to the end of her life.
Helen is preceded in death by her mother, father, sister, two brothers, husband, and grandson.
She is survived by her brother, Theron Blanton and his wife, Mary, her sons, Ronald Lee and wife, Kathy, Bob Lee and his wife, Nina, and daughter Janice and her husband, Mike Cockrill. Helen also leaves behind six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Helen is greatly loved and will be intensely missed until we are reunited in Heaven.
Visitation and Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, June 9th at Christ Chapel in Platte City, MO at 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. respectively, followed by a Graveside Service at Mt. Moriah Terrace Park, Kansas City, MO.
