Helen L. Engelbrecht

Helen Louise Engelbrecht, 84, of Gower, MO passed away March 17, 2018.
 
She was born on November 29, 1933 to Price Estes and Thelma Louise (Lilly) Cooper in Fireco, West Virginia where she grew up and attended school.  
 
On June 9, 1955 she was united in marriage to Howard Henry Engelbrecht.  After their marriage they lived in Wichita, KS and in 1965 they moved near Gower where they made their home for over 52 years.  
 
Helen was a member of the Gower American Legion Auxiliary.  She was very active in the community and volunteered with the Tuesday Tea Party’s at the Gower Convalescent Center.  Helen enjoyed baking and sewing and spending time with her friends, family, and especially her grandchildren. 
 
Helen was preceded in death by her mother Thelma Louise Cooper, who passed away when she was seven, her father and mother who raised her Price Estes and Zella Lucille Cooper; her son Larry Engelbrecht; and her brothers Samuel Dickens, LeRoy Dickens, Roger Cooper, and Eugene Cooper. 
 
She is survived by husband Howard Engelbrecht; her son Steve Engelbrecht; grandchildren Jausta (Brendan) Hermesch, Jeshua Engelbrecht,  Erin (Stephen) Paul, and Jessi (Cody) Dennis; great-grandchildren Victor, Christopher, Dakota, Harley, Lane, Trinity, Denver, Emery, Everlee, and Jackson; brothers Lowell (Jackie) Cooper, Chester Dickens, Carson (Barbara) Cooper, Harold (Betty) Cooper, Robert (Jean) Cooper, and Michael Cooper; sisters Joyce (Phil) Carrell, Faye Wood, Pauline Johnson, Dorothy Hoskins and Hattie Dickens; numerous nieces and nephews other relatives and many friends. 
 
Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 20th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower 
Funeral Services:  11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 21st at the funeral home.
Burial:  Frazier Cemetery 
Donations may be made to the Gower American Legion Auxiliary or the Frazier Cemetery
