Helen Charlene (Schuster) Sloan

Helen Charlene (Schuster) Sloan, 86 of Gower, MO passed away Thursday, March 26, 2015.

 

She was born on April 30, 1928 to Charles Henry and Georgia Gladys (Perkins) Schuster in Starfield where she grew up and spent her entire life.  Helen graduated from Plattsburg High School and later received her teaching degree from Northwest Missouri Teachers College in Maryville, MO. 

 

Helen was a member of the Mt. Zion Free Will Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.  During her lifetime she was an active member of Mt. Zion Ladies Aid and Campbell Oakdale Extension Club.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Charles Wayne Sloan and one grandson Duncan Schuster Sloan.

 

Helen is survived by son Randell L. Sloan and wife Cindy, Gower, MO; daughters Frankie L. Frazier and husband Randy, Lathrop, MO and Kimberly D. Nelson, Erin, TN; five grandsons, Jeremy Frazier, Jason Frazier and wife Gail, Seth Frazier, Ryan Sloan, and Cody Nelson; one granddaughter, Kelsie Nelson; five great-grandsons, Shay, Dakota, Tristan, Trevor and Trey; sister Mary Lou Lingo and husband Claron, Plattsburg, MO; other relatives and many friends.

 

Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 31^st at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower

Burial:  Mt. Zion Cemetery, Gower

Visitation:  6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday March 30^th at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Mt. Zion Cemetery.
