Harvey Leroy Seckel
Harvey Leroy Seckel, 84, of Dearborn, MO passed away, Friday, September 22, 2017.
He was born on December 7, 1932 to Henry Franklin and Nora Mae (Blankenship) Seckel in Dearborn, MO where he grew up.
He lived in the Dearborn area most of his life. Harvey worked at the Haydite Plant for over 25 years until his retirement in 1995. He also farmed tobacco with his brothers for many years, and enjoyed going to auctions.
Harvey was a member of the Dearborn Methodist Church and the Operating Engineers Local 101.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lewis, Leonard and Fuzz Seckel; and an infant brother.
Harvey is survived by his son, Justin Seckel and wife Farrah; grandchildren, Janika and Elijah; sisters Emma Jean Clayton and husband Ernie, Shirley Kier and husband Dean, and Rose Downing and husband David; brothers Lum Seckel and wife Nancy and Herman Seckel; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 26th at New Market Christian Church, New Market, MO.
Burial: Dearborn Cemetery
Visitation 6:00-8:00 p.m Monday at the church.
Arrangements Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Edgerton.
