Harold E. Snider, Sr.

Harold Eugene Snider, Sr., 70, of Dearborn, MO, passed away March 21, 2010 at his home.

He was born on September 1, 1939 to George Matthew and Louise (Bledsoe) Snider in Fortescue, MO. Harold grew up in the Oregon area and graduated from Oregon High School. He then served his country in the US Air Force from 1958-1962 during the Korean War. After his honorable discharge he worked for Braniff International. In 1963 he began his 38 year career with TWA.

On June 26, 1964 he was united in marriage to Carol Sue Brandon. After their marriage they lived in Platte City and in 1965 moved to Dearborn where they made their home.

Harold was baptized on April 12, 1972 at the Community Christian Church in St. Joseph. He loved woodworking, gardening, taking care of his yard and just being outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Henry Snider, Charles Snider, and James Snider; and sisters, Clara Mendenhall and Crystal Bohart.

Harold is survived by his wife, Carol of the home, son, Harold Snider, Jr., St. Joseph, MO; daughter, Vikki Kidwell and husband, Steve, Edgerton, MO; grandchildren, Tricia Kidwell, Matthew Kidwell, Terry Snider, and Morgan Snider; great-granddaughter, Delilah Snider; sisters, Dorothy Findley, St. Joseph, MO, and Edna Mae Buckles, St. Joseph, MO; several nieces and nephews other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 25^th at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Edgerton.

Visitation: 6:30-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
