Harold D. Fales
Harold D. Fales, 64, retired from fishing, Wednesday, February 23, 2005 at his home.
He was born on August 22, 1940 to Clifton Hammer and Oletha Irene (Phillips) Fales in Polo, Mo. He grew up in Smithville, and in 1958 graduated from Smithville High School.
On February 22, 1961 he was united in marriage to Martha Jane Allmon. After their marriage they lived in Smithville where they made their home. His wife, Martha, passed away on September 2, 1997. Harold later married Janet (Miller) Rankin. After their marriage they continued living in Smithville.
Harold retired from Ford Motor Company after 30 years.
He was a member of the Little Platte Baptist Church.
Harold was also preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Janet, of the home, two sons, Kevin Fales and Greg Fales and wife, Toni, and grandson, Ryan, all of Smithville, Mo., two brothers, William, Clarksville, Ar., and Leroy, Smithville, Mo., three sisters, Sue Meek and Loretta Stumpenhaus, both of Smithville, Mo., and Joyce Cloud, Lampe, Mo., step-children, Donald Wren, Vicki Neighbors, and Mark Rankin, seven step-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services: 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 28th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville.
Burial: Ridgely Cemetery
Visitation: 2:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Donations may be made to the Ridgely Christian Church.
