In Remembrance Of
Harold Allen Heath
Harold Allen Heath returned to the loving arms of his Savior on December 28, 2013. He was born on January 8, 1922 in Camden Point, Missouri to Lowell L. Heath and Gladys Mildred (Cockriel) Heath.
Harold graduated from Camden Point High School in 1939 and attended Kansas City Business College. He then served our country in World War II in the Army Air Corps from 1942 to 1946 in active duty, and continued in the US Air Force Reserves until his honorable discharge in 1960.
On November 21, 1951 he was united in marriage to Nell Johnson. After their marriage they lived near Ridgely, and later moved to their current home north of Edgerton.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nell (Johnson) Heath and his parents, Lowell and Mildred.
He is survived by a son, Lowell Edwin Heath and his wife Melissa L. Smith-Heath and a daughter, Deanna L. (Heath) Adkins and her husband Vernon and three grandsons; Jacob W. Adkins, Joshua C. Heath and Grant C. Adkins.
Harold chose farming as his life’s work though he tried a couple of times to “get a job in town”, but it was not for him. He loved the land and freedom it brought to him and his family.
Harold was, partially by necessity but also by choice, able to repair or build almost anything he set his mind to. He passed these skills and love for the land to his grandsons who pursue various mechanical and farming- related hobbies and vocations nurtured by his love and teachings.
His stories about flying and the life lessons he taught us will be fondly remembered. We know he has already experienced the joyful reunion with his Savior, his wife and his parents in addition to many other family and friends who have gone on before him.
