H. Lester Paul

H. Lester Paul, 85 of Smithville, MO passed away, Monday, March 25, 2013

He was born on July 11, 1927 to Henry and Nadine (Livengood) Paul in Knob Noster, MO.  He grew up in Knob Noster and the Warrensburg area and attended Warrensburg High School. 

On June 25, 1955 he was united in marriage to Joan M. Bradley.  After their marriage they lived in Smithville where they made their home.  His wife, Joan passed away on July 18, 1998.

Lester was well known as the local milk man for over 20 years.  He later was a bus driver for the Smithville School District and the KCI Employee Shuttle Bus.

He was a member of the First Christian Church in Smithville.

Lester was also preceded in death by his parents, sister, Ruby Sauer and husband Steve; and brothers-in-law, Newton Bradley, James Bradley and wife Cathy, Irvin Bradley, and Bob Markham.

He is survived by his daughters, Ann Darr and husband Mike, Smithville, MO and Kay Paul, Gladstone, MO; five grandchildren, Jennifer Ayers and husband Jason, Joshua Darr, Courtney Darr, Ryan Whitcomb and Kelci Whitcomb; great-grandchildren, Tanner and Addison; sister, Louise Markham; sisters-in-law, Doris Bradley and Mary Margaret Bradley; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services:  11:00 a.m. Friday March 29th at First Christian Church in Smithville.

Burial: 3:30 p.m. Friday Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor, MO.

Visitation:  6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville.

Donations may be made to the church.
