Bob and I went all through grade school and high school together. He was always a good friend. He worked so hard helping to organize our class reunions every five years. I will miss his calls every single year on my birthday... For the past 25 or so years!

Bob always drove our bus for junior high intermural sports and many other times in high school but I best remember those trips in junior high. A bus half full of loud singing girls, he was so tolerant of us! He always let us have fun as long as we were seated! Many students would say, "Oh good, it's Bob" as we boarded the bus. I used to run into him around town from time to time and he always said, "Hey kid!" with his big grin, give me a hug then update me on the latest happenings. If Carol was with him she would patiently wait and smile as she knew it was hard to get a word in but that was something to love about Bob, he had the gift of gab! They broke the mold with Bob, he was a treasure to all!

Bob was a great Lion, who contributed hours upon hours of service to the International Community. In addition to being a fantastic District Governor he accomplished a multitude of important missions. I am so sorry to hear of Bobby's (as I knew him) passing. He was bigger than life. His wife Carolyn and I are related thru a joint great grandfather. Bobby & Carolyn
would frequently stop to see my parents in Columbia, Missouri when they were traveling for Lion's activities. They were so kind to my parents. Although I never lived near Bobby & Carolyn, I saw them in Missouri, San Diego when we lived there, and of late when he drove a car from Lexington back to Missouri. It was always a pleasure to visit with him.
