Mrs Burton loved all of her students as they did her. I am sure she is sitting with fellow colleagues noticing the short skirt that just walked in, or the little girl who wasn’t going to finish her lunch because she was talking too much. She had to inform me one day my family probably wasn’t going to pick me up as the school bus couldn’t get to my house because of snow, but instead I was gathering my belongings to spend the night with Mrs and Dr Burton, until I spotted my daddy climbing the tall hill on our big tractor. Brunswick was fortunate to have some great teachers with Mrs Burton, Coach and Mrs Edmundson. Mrs Herring, Mrs Volk, Mr and Ms Donald Riddle, Mrs Stark , Mrs Rhodes ans many others , and I believe all but one will be in joint daily conversations about younger teachers and certain children every day. These folks will all be missed but I am so fortunate to have had them from my elementary years. Sorry for your loss but thank you from sharing your beautiful relative with those us that you did! Wonderful people! Lori Grotjan Creed

Audrey and Bobby, I just read about the passing of your mother, Louanna - my father Jim Matney's cousin. That was quite the generation, wasn't it?! We saw each other at family reunions and learned from our grandmothers and dozens of cousins. Sorry to hear that the last of the Gibsons is gone now. Daddy spent a .lot of time at Aunt Lu and Uncle Will's house and grew up with those cousins so I heard many good stories about them. Take care, from your cousin Christine Matney
