The Condolences for

Doug Foster

Nancy Kuenen
Des Moines

As one of his Aunt's, I can say .."I've known Doug ever since he was born." He was the first grandson to our parents, Frank and Cae Johnson. There were 4 girls in our family, so Grandpa Frank was pretty tickled to finally have a boy in the family. Doug reminded me a lot of Grandpa Frank, in his build.. and his humor... His broad shoulders... He was curious about fishing and working on wood, and helped Grandpa fix things when he was little. Over the years I've watched you grow up to be such a handsome and respectful adult in so many ways. You were our "resident chef" at family gatherings, teller of tales, and wearer of the Christmas Sweater. We'll never forget you Doug... We'll pray for you, please pray for us. Lots of Love, Aunt Nancy.

I have no words to express my sorrow for you guys right now. I just found out on the day of Doug’s birthday. Hugs to all of you. I remember Doug while he and Sharon lived in Cherokee. Then lost all track of him until Facebook. Had the chance to see him a few weeks ago when he was in Lake View. An opportunity missed for sure.
