My best friend from third grade thru High School and frequently my partner in crime during those years. So many memories...cheerleading, basketball, secrets, confidences, sleepovers, the music festival in Maryville, one special Halloween, trading clothes, taking the early bus so we could run 100 times around the NP gym every morning before first class in hopes of getting skinney legs and so, so much laughter. We were the three Musketeers..Marie, Susie, and I. Then came our grown-up years with families, our own homes, new lives, new priorities. At times our communications were sparse. Busy lives. Then came our "older" years and we were suddenly blessed with more time. Time for long telephone calls, birthday and Christmas cards, and get-together lunches when I could come home from Texas for a visit. Now, today my life is a little more dim because my friend is gone from this earth. Marie touched a lot of lives and lived a good honorable life. I will miss her and her silly birthday cards. My thoughts and prayers are with Terry and Ed and Ronnie and Dub and Marie's grandchildren. My blessings to her family.
