Doug's family and friends have my sincere condolences. He was level-headed and possessed common and uncommon sense. His personal integrity and no-nonsense approach made him a friend to many. In short, he was one of the good guys, and I am stunned and heartbroken that he is no longer among us.

We’ve always valued our friendship with the Allisons. Next door neighbors since our parents bought the houses on Redwood Drive, (1959ish) Douglas carried on the tradition of being a great neighbor. Not just because we’d look out and he’d be mowing or trimming our yard, he helped my nephew fix a plumbing issue. So clever. Always good to bounce an idea off of.
He’d been coming over since he was in diapers, knowing right where the cookie jar was! So glad he came over last week to join us for drinks on the patio. Such laughter and hugs. We’ll miss that laughter!

Teresa and I were close to Doug. There wasn't anything wouldn't do for each other. He was very special to us. We treated him like a son and he gave us so much love in return. I especially enjoyed our trips to the lake to boat and fish. We threw darts together, as was in the Baseball League and enjoyed many things together. We will miss Doug terribly. Hopefully he will keep an eye on us until we meet again. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends. Doug touched a lot of people. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏💕💕💕💕💕💕💕

Today is a sad day. A very special person has left us. We met when we became neighbors and ever since became "Brothers From Different Mothers". Doug was the person that would give you the shirt off his back and make you his family. Although he is in a better place I shelfishly wish here was still here. He will be missed very much. You were the love of my life for more than half my life. thank you for being a great dad to our kids. This just doesn’t seem real. I’ll forever cherish our last conservation and every day we spent together. I love you forever. you were my best friend no matter what life threw at us we always made it back to forever friends.
