I never had the pleasure to meet Everett in person, but we were Facebook friends for many years. I loved him like a brother because he was such a wonderful man. We had a few things in common, like riding motorcycles, loving rat rods, and building cars. Although our paths never got a chance to cross, I always felt close to him. We would even send each other virtual birthday cards through Facebook. I loved to find pictures of cool hot rods or motorcycles to send to him.He was just that kind of guy who made people feel like he really cared about them. He had such a big heart and just loved everybody. I admit I was really shocked to hear how quickly he passed after coming home. I had just sent him some comforting cards that I don’t think he got a chance to receive. I guess God had a bigger purpose for him to be in Heaven. I will miss him sooooo much and wish lots of Love and Peace to Debbie and the rest of his family. God bless you all.

Everett, I did not get to spend a lot of time with you but when Ronnie and I did go out to California I enjoyed all the stories and the different things we did. I remembered when Ronnie and I went to California. I loved the weather and would have loved to stay there. The day you took us to the fly market it was so big so we spend most of the day there. Thanks for the few memories that I have with you, Ronnie, and myself. I will be there to celebrate you and hear all the stories everyone had of your life.

I missed out on most of my cousin Everett's adult life, but we met up again in 2008. I thought he was a handsome man. Moreover he was a kind man. When he came into your life it was like a silent "Bam!" He was so personable that you never forgot him.
His friendship was true. If he had something you needed to use, no problem. If he could help you in any way, he was there.
The most important and precious thing he had was his wife Debbie. He loved her with everything he had.

Everett was my cousin, my big brother and my friend. I didn't know Everett for many years but, the first time I met him I knew it would be like we had always known each other. I found out I had stage IV lung cancer in 2013, my other half and I decided we better sign those papers for legal reasons. My dad had passed away in 2008 and I asked Everett if he would give me away, that was the day he became my big brother. I talked to him and told him things that weighed heavy on my heart for years and he never judged me and he never stopped loving me. I am going to miss my only brother. Rest easy brother, give momma and daddy a hug for me and please take care of my fur baby Star. Deb, I'm so sorry for your loss. A great man left our lives. Catch you on the other side. I love you. 💔
