I met Everett a few years back when him and Greg visited us in Cusseta. He would make everyone in the whole building laugh and have a smile on their faces, from his stories to all the jokes he had everyone will truly miss how big of a personality he was. He was a friend when you needed one and knew exactly how to make your day better. I know not just for me but everyone who got to know him he will be missed very much.

Miss knowing I can call him or hear about him from our kids. Even after we divorced he volunteered to help my father , Ted Van Alden, and my sister Michelle Van Alden. Everett helped many, many people for no pay. He rarely complained, just kept helping. He lifted and carried my dad from chair to bed as my dad was sick. And he carried my dad's coffin. He was amazing.

Sir,
Thank you for being such a great grandfather for my kids! I remember being at the Veterans day event at the kids school and you telling me how happy Isaac and Nadia were with me!! That meant the world coming from you. I will see you again. Thank you for your service to your Country and to your family. Men like you were the reason I served.
