My sincere condolences for the loss of your father. He was a truly great and memorable man. He was always very kind to me when I would come to the dealership when my dad was selling cars there. He was certainly full of life and he lived a full life!

I have so much respect for this man, he was such a positive person in my life. Always giving me a hard time (for fun) and always had a smile. May he rest in piece and his family be filled with love and pride. He will be missed.

I am sorry for your loss. I got to know him thru the Historical Society and loved hearing all his memories of the past. I will miss him and his stories in the papers. He had a well lived life.

As the publisher of The Edgerton/Platte County Citizen, I had many interactions with Mr. Kindred over the years. I knew him as a friendly man and a successful business owner, a civic leader in Smithville. However, I was not fully aware of wide range of experiences and the many honors that filled his long life. I truly regret we didn't interview him about some of them for the newspaper. My sincere condolences to the family.
