OBITUARY
GRACE M. PAYNE
Grace Marie Payne, 81, of Camden Point, MO, passed away, Thursday, August 18, 2011.
She was born on February 25, 1930 to John Douglas and Goldie Ada (Meyer) Chapman in White Hall, Illinois. She attended school in Green County, Illinois until 1944 when the family moved to Bunker Hill, Illinois where she graduated from high school.
On March 3, 1951 she was united in marriage to John Carl Payne, Sr. After their marriage they lived in Alton, Illinois, Bunker Hill, Illinois and Brighton, Illinois. In 1965 they moved to California, and in 1985 to Piedmont, MO, and in 2002 they moved to Camden Point where they made their home. Her husband, John, preceded her in death on April 12, 2003.
Grace worked as an environmental technician at St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, California and later worked for Garden Foods in Piedmont, MO, retiring in 1993.
She was a member of the Camden Point Baptist Church, the Living History Club in Camden Point was a volunteer for “Twice as Nice” in Platte City.
Grace was also preceded in death by her parents, brother, John , and sister, Faye Brown.
She is survived by one daughter, Paulette Reinosky and husband Richard, Camden Point, MO; son, John C. Payne, Jr and wife Marsha, Alton, IL; seven grandchildren, including James Donnelly, Jr and Sareana Rawson, whom she helped raise, three great-grandchildren, Kendra Rawson, Jonnathon Rawson, and Alexis Donnelly; one great-great-grandchild, Laila Pedincini, four brothers, Thurman “Doc” Chapman, Robert Chapman, George Chapman, and Leonard Chapman; sister, Jean Kincaid; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services were held Sunday, August 21st at the Camden Point Baptist Church.

Grace was a very special lady and friend. We were inspired by her love for the Lord and her church family. She fought the good fight, finished the course, and kept the faith. May our God give you comfort and peace during your time of loss.
