Glenn Dee Ruoff
Glenn Dee Ruoff, 96, of St. Joseph, MO passed away September 16, 2010 at LaVerna Village in Savannah, MO.
He was born on October 28, 1913 to Bertie Roe and Mamie Elizabeth (Blosser) Ruoff in Easton, MO. Glenn grew up near Gower, MO and graduated from Gower High School.
On November 7, 1936 he was united in marriage to Helen Lorene Barton. After their marriage they farmed in the Gower and Helena areas. After their retirement they moved to St. Joseph, MO. His wife, Helen passed away on December 21, 2009.
Glenn was a member of the Central Christian Church in St. Joseph. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Lee Ruoff and Billy Ruoff.
Glenn is survived by his children, Gene Ruoff and wife, Janice, Savannah, MO, Jeanette Luther and husband, Marion, The Villages, Florida, Allan Ruoff and wife, Helen, Savannah, MO, Wanda Peacock and husband, Keyth, Kansas City, MO, Rick Ruoff and wife, Vickie, Savannah, MO, Randy Ruoff and wife, Becky, St. Joseph, MO and Sandy Shewmaker and husband, Jay, Cosby, MO; sixteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 18th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower
Burial: Union Star Cemetery
Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Donations: Kendallwood Hospice
