Glenn Dean Kyle
Glenn Dean Kyle, 81, of Dearborn, MO, passed away Monday, February 23, 2009.
He was born on November 4, 1927 to Leonard Cooke and Opal Marie (Adams) Kyle in Dearborn, MO where he grew up and graduated from Dearborn High School. He then served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. Glenn then attended business college in St. Joseph, MO
On May 29, 1948 he was united in marriage to Marjorie Hazel Green. After their marriage they lived in Dearborn where they made their home. Marjorie passed away on August 28, 1987. He was also preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Robert Kyle.
Glenn retired from TWA as a mechanic after 35 years. He was a member of the Dearborn Christian Church, the Eagles Lodge and the American Legion #359 both in St. Joseph.
Glenn is survived by his wife, Barbara; children, Roger Kyle and wife, Penny, and son Dean Cooke Kyle, Karen Anderson and husband Jim and daughter, Shayne Rachelle and husband, Chris Ginder, Daryl Kyle and wife, Doreen and son Shane Michael Bakalar and daughter Justinia Marie Kyle; one great-grandson, Blake Bakalar; one brother, Lyle Chilton Kyle and wife, Ruedene, Denver, CO; several nieces and nephews other relatives and many friends.
On June 10, 1996 Glenn was united in marriage to Barbara Ellen Dearmont Bryant. Barbara has seven children, Morrie Bryant and wife, Samantha, Maurine Mazzeo and husband, John, Phillip Bryant and wife, Rebecca, Mary Jo Starr and husband, Jay, Barbara Vanausdall, Patrick Bryant and wife, Tassi, Michael Bryant and wife, Keela; eighteen grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 27th at the Dearborn Christian Church
Burial with Military Honors: Dearborn Cemetery
Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 26th at the church.
