George F. Bower

George F. Bower, 88, of rural Hemple, MO, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2007.

He was born on February 15, 1919 to Clarence Wesley and Mary Elizabeth (Long) Bower in Clarksdale, MO, and grew up near Hemple.

On September 29, 1942 he was united in marriage to Dorothy N. Johnson. After their marriage they lived near Hemple where they farmed and made their home. George also worked as a homebuilder in St. Joseph and surrounding areas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Clifford Bower, sister, Vera Bradley, and grandson, Donnie Herpel.

George is survived by his wife, Dorothy, of the home; one daughter, Karen Herpel and husband, Don; one grandson, John Herpel and wife, Michele, all of Hemple; two great-grandsons, Brent and Cody Herpel; one sister, Virginia Love, St. Joseph; other relatives and many friends.

By his request, no scheduled services or visitation.
