George David Wooten

George David Wooten, 71, of Lathrop, MO formerly of Smithville, MO passed away April 20, 2015.

He was born on January 25, 1944 to Isom Carter and Emma (Raby) Wooten in Kansas City, MO.

David and his wife Jan raised their family in Smithville. He loved being a part of his childrenâ??s lives by coaching, being a scout leader, and various activities. David instilled outstanding values in leading by example. He especially enjoyed being outdoors and camping.

David was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister. On May 26, 2009, his wife and soul mate Jan passed away.

He is survived by his sons Scott Wooten and fianc? Christie Ulmer, Jason Oâ??Neal and Jonathan Oâ??Neal; grandchildren, Dakota Wooten, Warren Oâ??Neal, Travis Oâ??Neal, Marium Ahmed and Torin Oâ??Neal. David is mourned by his immediate family, his brothers, sisters, sisters-in-laws and other loving family members and friends.

Memorials may be sent in Davidâ??s memory to Liberty Hospice.

Private Family services will be held.
