GARY W. BRUCE

Gary Wayne Bruce, 46, of Trimble, MO, formerly of Smithville, MO, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2006 while on his motorcycle.

He was born on January 30, 1960 to Luther Clifton and Bessie Ruth (Moore) Bruce in Smithville where he grew up. In 1978, Gary graduated from Smithville High School where he was active in football, wrestling, FFA and summer baseball.

On June 6, 1981 he was united in marriage to Jill Schroeder. After their marriage they lived in Smithville where they made their home.

Gary worked for Asplundh for over 20 years and was currently working for Missouri Gas Energy.

He was preceded in death by his mother, infant sister, Marilyn and nephew, Kyle Bruce.

Gary is survived by his children, Cody and Caitlyn and their mother, Jill, Smithville, father, Luther Bruce, Smithville, brother, Ronnie Bruce and wife, Mary, Flower Mound, TX, sister, Charlene Bruce, Smithville, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 3rd at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville.
Visitation: 5:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Inurnment will be held at a later date at I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
