Fred Trayler, Sr.

Fred Trayler, Sr., 70, of Plattsburg, MO, beloved father and friend passed away peacefully Sunday, December 4, 2011 at his home.

He was born on October 22, 1941 to John Etheridge and Mary Alice (Nutting) Trayler in Des Moines, IA. Fred grew up and attended school in Excelsior Springs, MO. Fred then served his country in the U.S. Air Force where he was stationed in Europe. After his honorable discharge he moved to Liberty, MO where he owned and operated Trayler Wood Products. In 1972, Fred moved to Plattsburg, MO where he made his home. Fred also owned an operated Mid America Enterprises in Grayson and later in Plattsburg for several years.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Fred is survived by his best friend and companion, April Karl; sons, Dillon and Brandon, all of the home, Fred Trayler, Jr., Plattsburg, MO; daughter, Tamara Chebar, Brooklyn, NY; four grandchildren, John, Sam, Adrian, and Zoey; sister, Jevene Baer, Lynchburg, VA; other relatives and many friends.

Private inurnment will be held later. The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 8^th at the Plattsburg Community Center.
