Fred Emil Utz

Fred Emil Utz, 71, of Trimble, MO, passed away Monday, August 16, 2010.

He was born on January 22, 1939 to Gordon Carol and Cecilla (Schweitzer) Utz in Saint Cloud, MN. Fred grew up on the family farm in the Holt, MO area. He then served his country in the US Marine Corps. After his honorable discharge, Fred made his home in the Ridgely area where he farmed and raised his two sons, Jeff and Greg with their mother, Carolyn Utz.

Fred was a participant of the community and surrounded himself with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother Richard Utz.

Fred is survived by his sons, Jeffrey Alan Utz and wife, Debra, and Gregory Dean Utz; grandchildren, Gregory Dean, Jr., Gabrielle Dawn, Madysen Rose, Sapphire Elyse, Jade LeeAnn, Jacinth Ray and Jasper Jaydon; close companion, Dorothy Allmon; brothers, Eugene Utz, Jerry Utz, Robert Utz, Tom Utz; sisters, Vera Noggle, Virginia Wheeldon, Carol Martin; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 21^st at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville

Burial with Military Honors: Ridgely Cemetery, Ridgely, MO

Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, August 20^th at the funeral home
