OBITUARY
FRANKIE R. HOUCHINS
Frankie Raymond Houchins, 67, of Kansas City, MO, passed away, Sunday, February, 4, 2007 at his home.
He was born on November 30, 1939 to Tracy Lee and Carmen Elzada (Attebury) Houchins in Kansas City, Kansas. When Frankie was eight years old the family moved to Madison, Mo., where he graduated from High School. He took courses at Florida University for the U.S. Navy and served his country from 1957-1961. After his honorable discharge he returned to Madison and later moved to Kansas City, Mo. He then attended Jr. College in Kansas City, Mo.
Frankie worked at Montgomery Wards in Kansas City for one year and then became a truck driver for Union Local 41, retiring after over 30 years.
He was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, and Knights of Columbus #9272 where he was a Msgr.Wogan Assembly 4th Degree, both in Smithville.
Frankie was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his beloved family, Karen (Kanan) Houchins, Jeff and Brenda Houchins, James Houchins, Angela Burton, and Natalie Bruce, four grandchildren, Krista, Matt, Taylor and Max; great-granddaughter, Ava; two brothers, Glen Houchins, Columbia, MO, and Richard Houchins, Pascagoula, Mississippi; two sisters, Evelyn Schnirch, Kansas City, KS; and Verna Bowers, Kent, Washington and
numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 7th at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Smithville.
Burial with Military Honors: St. Munchins Kenney Cemetery, Kidder, MO.
Visitation: 5:30-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the church with Rosary at 7:30 p.m.
