So sorry for your loss. She was a great teacher of the game of pool. She was tough and showed you no mercy even when I was very young.

Fern was a special person. I met Fern when I was 12 years old. She took me under her wing and taught me all about pool. We shot a lot of pool together and wasn’t many that won against her. She will deeply missed. My condolences to her family.

I worked with Fern at the Shamrock Gas Station in Smithville until Fern retired from there. After her husband, Lewis, passed Fern needed help so I stepped up. She had never grocery shopped, cooked, nor paid the bills.
Fern was happiest playing in Pool Leagues,
Playing Bingo, and loved going to the Casinos.! After Fern was unable to drive due to dementia I started taking her to all the places she loved to go. My Family became her Family and she spent Holidays and celebrated Birthdays with us. Fern was a feisty lady and had many funny stories she shared with us. As we say goodbye to Fern, we pray she finds the Pool Hall in the Sky.
God Bless Fern and Condolences to her Family and many Friends. Fern will be remembered as my Bonus Mom and I will always cherish every minute I was able to help her out for 18 years.
    RIP Fernie
