Faye Garris
Edna ?Faye? Garris, 67, of Sylacauga, Alabama, passed away, January 25, 2005 in Sylacauga, Alabama.
She was born on January 21, 1938 to Eck and Lucille (Poe) Ellison in Sylacauga, Al., where she grew up and attended school. In 1959 she moved to Chillicothe, later Cameron and Colorado Springs, Colorado, and in 1998 she returned to Sylacauga.
Faye worked for a sewing factory, and residential and motel housekeeping until her retirement.
She was a member of the Pentecostal faith.
Faye was preceded in death by her parents, her special Aunt Wilma, one nephew, Steven and one niece, Brenda.
She is survived by two daughters, Larenza Brown and husband, Jay, Smithville, Mo., Rhonda Gilliland and husband, Pete, Ludlow, Mo., five grandchildren, Ron, Amy, Kandi, Kaci, and Kaleb, and one great-granddaughter, Destiny, one brother, Roger Whitehead and wife, Kathy, two sisters, Wanda Lowe and Debra Hethcox, all of Alabama, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services: 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 28th at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower, Mo.
Graveside Service: 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Wheeling, Mo. Cemetery
Visitation: 7:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home in Gower.
