Faith E. Aitkens
Faith Estella Aitkens, 76, of Plattsburg, MO passed away March 23, 2017.
She was born on June 19, 1940 to Kenneth L. and Cornelia (Gregory) McGreevy in Beech Grove, Indiana.
Faithe was a nurse at Spelman Memorial/St. Luke’s Hospital in Smithville, retiring after 25 years. She loved being with her
friends and family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Faithe was an avid Chiefs and Royals fan and enjoyed
fishing. She also enjoyed hummingbirds, windmills, flags, and her dogs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers John McGreevy and Don McGreevy.
Faithe is survived by her husband Freddie Aitkens; four sons Kevin “Rusty” Barnes and
wife Kay, Kerry “Rocky” Barnes and wife Suz, Kelly Barnes, and Kyle Barnes and
wife Jennifer; step-sons Ronnie and Paul Aitkens; grandchildren J.R., Kassidy,
Kody, Kori, Karly, Ava, Rachel and Ronnie; great-grandchildren Merci, Brianna,
Mikaela, Liam, Khloe, Khaleesi, Khaya, Khasey, Kane, and Emma; sisters-in-law
Betty Lowe, Judy Mick, Bonnie Stratton, and Florence “Snookie” Krinler; other
relatives and many friends.
Visitation: 7:00-8:30 p.m. Monday, March 27th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville
Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 28th at the funeral home.
Donations may be made to Megan’s Paws and Claws/Smithville Animal Shelter.
