Eva A. (Harris) Scott
Eva Alene Scott, 100, of Smithville, MO passed away September 23, 2021.
She was born July 24, 1921, to Jesse J. and Bertha (Lee) Harris near Nashua, MO and lived her entire life in the Smithville area. Eva attended country schools and graduated from Smithville High School in 1940.
Eva was united in marriage to Alan E. Scott. She worked as a dental assistant for 21 years and retired in August of 1981. Eva was a member of the First Baptist Church in Smithville. She loved dancing and country music.
She was preceded in death by her husband Alan Scott; her parents Jesse and Bertha Harris; her brother Harold “Shorty” Harris; sisters Beulah Brown, Mildred Barnhill and Faye Harris.
Eva is survived by her daughter Jane Driver; grandchildren Danna (Dennis), Dawn (Mike), Darin, Dee Ann (Mark), Daniel, Doug (Christine), Desri (Fred); several great and great-great-grandchildren; brother Howard (Cathy) Harris; other relatives and many friends.
Visitation: 10:00-11:30 a.m. Saturday October 9th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville
Inurnment: Goss Cemetery
In lieu of flowers, Donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Smithville
