Eula Pendleton
Eula Pendleton, 88, of Smithville, MO passed away, Thursday, September 19, 2019.
She was born on October 25, 1930 to William Benton and Fannie Lucille (Groshong) Wright near Agency, MO. Eula grew up near Agency and Frazier and graduated from Gower High School.
On May 15, 1954 she was united in marriage to Robert L. Pendleton. After their marriage they lived in Plattsburg and in 1962 moved to Smithville where they made their home. Her husband, Robert, passed away on September 9, 1999.
In earlier years, Eula worked at National Bellas Hess and taught grade school in the Gower area. Eula and her sister, Helen, owned and operated Helen’s Upholstery in Smithville and she was a housekeeper at North Kansas City Hospital.
Eula was a member of the First Baptist Church in Smithville. She enjoyed fishing, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Bennie Wright and Roy Wright; andone grandson, Mitchell Pendleton.
Eula is survived by her sons, Richard (Irene) Pendleton, William (Dianna) Pendleton, and Jim (Lynda) Pendleton; ten grandchildren; Rebecca (James) Meek, Jeffrey (Rebecca) Pendleton, Samantha Renno, Neil (Alison) Pendleton, Melissa (Ryan) Beck, Nicholas Pendleton, Patrick Pendleton, Andy (Melissa) Pendleton, Edward Pendleton, and Ethan Pendleton; five great-grandchildren, RJ, Isabella, Brooke, Olivia, and Regan; sister, Helen (Bob) Smith; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville.
Burial: Ridgely Cemetery, Ridgely, MO.
Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Donations may be made to Ridgely Cemetery.
