Eugene Franklin Foster

Eugene Franklin Foster, 91, of Agency, MO, currently residing at Cameron Missouri Veterans Home passed away Sunday, February 12, 2017.

He was born on July 31, 1925 to Aubrey Franklin and Nellie (Duncan) Foster in Dearborn, MO where he grew up and graduated from Dearborn High School.  Eugene served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. 

On May 5, 1951, he was united in marriage to Mary Lee Nunnally in Salinas, California.  After their marriage and Eugene’s Honorable Discharge from the Army, they moved to Agency, MO where they made their home.  In 2009 they moved to St. Joseph, MO.

Eugene worked for the State Hospital as a storekeeper and was an auto driver for twenty-seven years, retiring in 1988.

He was preceded in death by his parents Aubrey and Nellie Foster.

Eugene is survived by his wife Mary Foster; son Anthony “Tony” Foster and wife Brenda; daughter Judy Reed and husband Bobby; grandchildren Robert Reed, III and Courtney Foster; great-granddaughter Zoey; other relatives and many friends. 

Funeral Service:  11:00 a.m. Wednesday February 15th with visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower

Burial:  Agency Cemetery

    I am sorry to hear that Gene has passed away. I will remember him as he always had something to say, with a wise crack at the end. He loved to tease!  Our condolences to all the family.
