EUEL “DID” SELLARS

Euel Daniel “Did” Sellars, 86, of Dearborn, MO, was called to meet his maker, Wednesday, August 9, 2006.

He was born on August 29, 1919 to Elmer and Hazel (Hay) Sellars in Platte County. He attended school and lived most of his life in the Dearborn area.

On August 29, 1939 he was united in marriage to Maggie Jane “Janie” Logston.

Did was a husband, father, and a self-employed truck driver, handling gravel and lime. He was forced to retire early due to a truck accident. Did also raised tobacco.

He was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Edgerton.

Did was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Charlie Sellars.

He is survived by his wife, Janie, of 67 wonderful years of marriage; two daughters, Eulah Taylor and Jeanie Arnold; two grandchildren, Jane Cowan and Brian Arnold; brother, Estel Sellars; a lifetime friend, Earl “Gookie” Sherwood; one niece and five nephews; other relatives and many friends.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Kendallwood Hospice.

Funeral Services: 2:00 p.m. Sunday August 13th at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Edgerton.
Burial: Dearborn Cemetery
Visitation: 6:30-8:30 p.m. Saturday at the church.
