Etta Elizabeth (Perry) Conner
Etta Elizabeth Conner, 89, of Overland Park, KS, passed away Friday, August 5, 2011 at her son, Dean Conner’s home in Platte City, MO.
She was born on September 2, 1921 to Charles and Henrietta (McCrackin) Perry in Independence, KS where she grew up and graduated from High School.
On February 14, 1942 she was united in marriage to Dan W. Conner. After their marriage they settled in Overland Park, KS where they made their home. They were part of the original members of the Top Railer’s Square Dancing Club. They also enjoyed camping, belonging to several camping clubs. Her husband Dan, passed away September 18, 1989.
Etta was an active member of the Asbury Untied Methodist Church in Prairie Village, KS. She was a loving wife, mother and friend.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and brothers and sisters, Anna, Albert, Louise, Thomas, Emerson, and Gladys.
Etta is survived by her son, Dean Conner and wife, Carol, Platte City, MO; daughter, Dana Noakes and husband, Rod, Topeka, KS; grandsons, Chris Conner and Mark Conner, both of Kansas City, MO; great-grandchildren, Chris A., Cydney, Hannah, Isaac, and Caytie; brother William Perry and wife, Lova, Weatherford, OK; sister, Martha Mae Scott and husband Robert, Independence, KS; and sister-in-law, Marvene Clark, Tulsa, OK; several nieces and nephews other relatives and many friends.
Graveside Service: 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 8th at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Independence, KS
