Esther Louise Scholle

Esther Louise Scholle, 87, of Smithville, MO passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2017.
 
She was born on December 5, 1929 to Charles Raymond and Edith Emma (Schumacher) Radcliff in Excelsior Springs, MO.  Esther grew up in Chillicothe, MO and graduated from Chillicothe High School in 1947. 
 
On January 7, 1951 she was united in marriage to Kenneth Scholle.  After their marriage they lived in Carrollton, MO, Kansas City, MO and in 1963 they moved to the Smithville area where they made their home.  
 
Esther was an active member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Platte City, MO.  Esther and Kenneth enjoyed square dancing and were members of the Boots N Bows Square Dance Club in Smithville.  She loved music and enjoyed playing the organ. 
 
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Anna Mae Stephens.  

Esther is survived by her husband Kenneth Scholle; children Kenny Scholle and wife Karen and Denise Mullins and husband David; grandchildren Stephanie Waneka  and husband Daniel, Jennifer Scholle, Justin Mullins and wife Alex, Krista Lee and husband Dalton, Ryan Mullins and wife Laura, and Bri Garrison and husband Steve;
18 great-grandchildren; brother Raymond Radcliff; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. 
 
Funeral Service:  11:00 a.m.  Saturday, October 28th with visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Platte City, MO
Graveside  Service: 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 30th at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Kansas City, MO
Donations may be made to the church.

    We are so sorry to hear of Esther’s passing. She was a true lady. Gene square danced with them for 40 years. Ken, we think of you often. Friends forever, Gene and Sandy Littrell

    My thoughts and prayers go to the Scholle family. Esther and Ken were our neighbors for many many years and our bus stop was at their driveway. They always allowed us to play in their yard and my mom and dad said Esther used to babysit us when we were small. This was very sad news to me as just a couple of years ago she sent me old pictures of me riding horses in their yard. May God ease everyone’s pain and help rejoice in her life.

    I think about Esther many times for all the wonderful times I had with her when we were neighbors…I wish I had her recipe for those amazing stuffed banana peppers she made with the kraut stuffing. She was a lovely, kind, gentle woman that I’m sure is an angel in Gods heaven…
