Ernie Clayton
Ernest Larimore “Ernie” Clayton, 87, of Camden Point, MO passed away April 4, 2018.
He was born on November 10, 1930 to Ernest and Norma (Montgomery) Clayton in Aplin, Arkansas where he grew up and attended school. He then served his country in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge from the military he worked as an independent contractor for several Navy Bases in the US and around the world. Ernie spent most of his time doing electric work on the planes for the Blue Angels on the Navy Base in Pensacola, Florida.
On September 4, 1998 he was united in marriage to Emma Jean Seckel. After their marriage they lived in Camden Point where made their home.
Ernie was preceded in death by his first wife Dotty Clayton; his daughter Nora Polifcheck and three sisters Mary Sue Dooley, Bess Edwards and Maxine Jones.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years Emma Jean Clayton; step-daughters Annette Catlett and Kellie Knorr and husband Richard; five step-grandchildren; his daughters
Debbie Grabert, Diane Clayton, Mary Dixon, Regina Clayton and Theresa Valentine; ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; sister Joann Taylor; numerous
nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 7th with Visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Edgerton.
Inurnment will be held at the Barrancas National Cemetery at the Naval Air Station in Pensacola, FL
