Ernest Frank Lovell
Ernest Frank Lovell, 86, of Kansas City, MO passed away, Friday, November 16, 2012.
He was born on February 5, 1926 to Jay Leonard and Helen (Ashley) Lovell in LaGrange, IN. He attended schools in LaGrange, IN and Las Vegas, Nevada. Ernest then served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
On December 17, 1950 he was united in marriage to Mary Lou Seavers. After their marriage they lived on the farm near Edgerton, MO and later moved to Kansas City, MO where they made their home.
Ernest worked for IBM for 25 years and was also a farmer. He was a member of the Smithville American Legion Post #58. Ernest and Mary Lou enjoyed square dancing and were members of the Boots and Bows and they attended Smithville United Methodist Church.
Ernest was preceded in death by his parents, son Ernest Richard Lovell; four brothers and three sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Lovell; three sons, Randy Lovell, Kenneth Lovell and Mark Lovell; grandchildren, Cathy Lovell, Pricilla Cecil, Stephanie Heisler, Angela K. Lovell, Crystal Kirschner, Emily Schilling, Angela Frank and Brent Lovell; ten great-grandchildren; sister Joanne Barnes; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 19th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Inurnment: Smithville Memorial Cemetery.
