Viola Holmer, 90, passed away Friday, December 4. She had resided in Platte City for the last five years, before that she lived on a farm at Hale, MO, for over 40 years.
She was born June 26, 1930, to Bror J. and Bertha (Johnson) Anderson, in Jefferson, Iowa. As a young woman she taught school, and in 1950 was united in marriage to Carl E. Holmer. To that union were born three sons, Earl, Kenneth, and Clint. The family lived in Iowa, Colorado, and then Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her husband Carl Holmer, her son Clint Holmer and her brother Gene Anderson.
She is survived by sons Earl Holmer and Kenneth Holmer and wife Sue; 10 grandchildren Heidi, Katy, Andrea, Briana, Erica, Sheena, Monica, Logan, Jenna and Craig; four great-grandchildren, Chase, Claire, McKenzie, and Derek; 1 niece Lisa; and 3 nephews Lonne, Randy, and Todd.
There will be no services held.
Donations may be made in her memory to the Gower Convalescent Center
