Vicky Laybourne 71, of Smithville, MO passed away March 17, 2022. 

 She was born on March 23, 1950, to Benjamin and Ruby Mae Sherr in Kansas City, KS. Vicky grew up in Shawnee Mission, KS and in 1968 she graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School. Vicky attended Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS where she received her associates degree.

On June 21, 1968, she united in marriage to Paul Curtis Laybourne, III. After their marriage they lived in Durant, OK and later moved to the Kansas City, MO northland area where they made their home and raised their children. Her husband Paul passed away on September 20, 2012.

Vicky worked as a financial adviser for 20 years. After her retirement she enjoyed quilting, was a member of the Smithville Quilters Guild and made quilts for North Kansas City Hospice. Most of all, Vicky enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

She is survived by her children Kindra (Sean) Todd and Brian Laybourne; grandchildren, Trevor and Carli Johnson and Alyssa and Jaxon Laybourne; great-grandchildren Keeley Johnson and Wrenley Andolino; sister in law Linda (Bob) Housh; brother in law Jim (Karen) Laybourne; niece Amy Lewis; nephew Ryan Housh; other relatives, and many friends. 

Private family services will be held at Ridgely Cemetery.
