Velma Jameson, 86, of St. Joseph, MO passed away, Friday, October 13, 2017.

 

She was born on November 8, 1930 to Emit Arthur and Ruby Mae (Standlea) Workman in King City, MO where she grew up and attended school.

 
On November 27, 1948 she was united in marriage to Wallace Dean Jameson.  After their marriage they lived in King City and in 1960 moved to St. Joseph, MO where they made their home.

 

Velma was a member of the Community Christian Church in St. Joseph.  

 

Velma was preceded in death by her parents, infant son, William, six brothers, Franklin, Arthur “Shorty”, Robert, Clarence, Floyd, and Melvin Workman.

 

Velma is survived by her husband, Dean; children, Peggy Campbell and husband Ronald and Frank Jameson and wife Michelle; grandchildren, Devon Campbell, Hayden Jameson, Megan Borchardt, Heather Borchardt, Aaron Campbell, and Travis Campbell; and sisters-in-law Marjorie Carroll, Rosalee Workman, Pat Workman; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

 

Funeral Service:  10:00 a.m. Friday, October 20th at Community Christian Church, St. Joseph, MO

Burial:  King City Cemetery, King City, MO.

Visitation:  6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the church.
