Valerie Lynn Kelso, 55, of Lee’s Summit, MO passed away, April 15, 2017

She was born on October 14, 1961 to John F. and Mary Sue (Christy) Wilhoit in Smithville, MO. Valerie grew up in Kansas City and graduated from Winnetonka High School

Valerie worked for UMB Bank in Kansas City for several years.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Jeffery Wilhoit.

Valerie is survived by her children, Brad Kelso and significant other Audrey Killion, Marc Kelso and wife Hannah, and Christie Van Meter; grandchildren, Scarlett and Henry Kelso and Bailey Westbrook and Kylie Killion; sister Jamie; other relatives and many friends, including Craig Van Meter.

Memorial Service:  11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 19th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville with visitation one hour prior:
