James Todd Norris was born in Smithville, MO on July 26, 1973 to James C. (Jim) and Cheryl (Kimsey) Norris. Todd graduated from Liberty High School in 1991, and he received his bachelor’s and master's degrees from the University of Missouri–Columbia. 

Todd married Lori (Hull) on February 19, 2000. In 2001, Todd embarked on business ownership with Integration Plus in Columbia, MO where they resided. With his studies in special education, Todd was able to use his gifts as a behavior therapist to advocate and care for others. It is no surprise that Todd touched many lives through his love and support even after selling the business in December of 2020.

Todd was a friend to everyone whether it was with a listening ear, helping hand, a story to tell, or simply by his presence. A self-taught man with many talents and areas of knowledge, no task was too difficult for Todd to figure out, whether it was creating a computer program, performing any type of home repair, or building whatever was needed. Todd was an avid cook and everyone benefited from his signature barbeque to his decadent cheesecakes. A lifelong sports fan, Todd enjoyed following the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs. As a Royals’ season ticket holder for many years, family and friends have fond memories of attending games with Todd.  

Todd loved his people fiercely, and he took his role as husband, father, son, brother, and friend seriously and delivered his best. He fought the cancer bravely and to the end, yet ultimately left this earthly home to spend eternity in Heaven on March 26, 2022 at 48 years old.

Todd was preceded in death by his dad, Jim Norris, in 2017. He leaves behind his wife (Lori) of22 years, daughter-Taylor (Nick) Mahoney, son-Jacob, daughter-Parker, mother-Cheryl Norris, brother-Jason (Melissa) Norris and nephews, Peyton and Brooks.

Funeral services will be held at Briarcliff Church (800 NE Vivion Rd., Kansas City) on April 9, 2022 at 10:00 am with visitation following until 12:00 pm (noon).
