Martha Sue Oliver, 91, of Smithville, MO passed away, October 19, 2022.

She was born on December 7, 1930 to Ernest and Mary Ethel Riley in Huntsville, MO. Sue grew up in Huntsville, MO where she graduated from high school.

On March 4, 1950 she was united in marriage to William Ray Oliver. After their marriage they lived in Moberly, MO, Macon, MO and in the 1960’s they moved to Smithville where they made their home. Her husband, Bill, passed away on May 25, 1998.

Sue was a homemaker most of her life, who’s faith in God was very important to her. She was a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church for many years. She volunteered at the church library and enjoyed helping children check out their books. In recent years she was a member of the Grace Community Church where she made many friends.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; sister, Irene Miles; and brothers Melvin and Merlin Riley.

Sue is survived by her children, Jeanie (Bruce) Hines, Tina (Matt) Meyer, Paul (Min) Oliver, Kay (Jim) Hall; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Ruby Ballew; brother-in-law, Herschel Clark; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation: 10:00-11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 27th at Grace Community Church, Smithville, MO.

Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 27th at Grace Community Church, Smithville, MO.

Burial: Community of Smithville Memorial Cemetery, Smithville, MO.
