Erma Nell Herring 76, of Smithville, MO passed away November 19, 2018.

She was born on February 21, 1942 to William M. and Dollie Mae (Walker) Moore in Kearney, MO. Erma graduated from Stanley High School in Stanley Kansas in 1960.

On September 21, 1961 she was united in marriage to Alvin Herring. After their marriage they lived in Palm Beach FL. Alvin passed away in 1999. Erma later returned to the Smithville area.

Erma worked as a cook for several restaurants and was a cashier at Win Dixie, all in Palm Beach, FL. She was a past member of the American Legion Auxiliary #58 in Smithville, MO. 

She was also preceded in death by her parents four brothers and six sisters.

Erma is survived by her sisters Jean Turnipseed, Jane West and Alice Crooks; niece Charlene Bruce; best friend Nila Lindsey; numerous other nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
