Eileen Bowers, 81, of Gower, MO passed away, Saturday, January 6, 2018.

 

She was born on March 31, 1936 to Crawford Lynn and Rose (Bohy) Mathews in New Kensington, Pennsylvania where she grew up and graduated from high school.

 

On August 4, 1956 she was united in marriage to William Wesley “Bill” Bowers.  After their marriage they lived in Glen Burnie, MD, and Highstown, NJ and in 1976 they moved to Gower where they made their home.  Her husband, Bill, passed away, October 14, 2000.

 

Eileen was an active member of the Gower Christian Church for many years.  She was also a member of the Eastern Star.

 

She was also preceded in death by her parents, sons, Thomas Wesley Bowers and Michael David Bowers; and two brothers, Bill and Bud Mathews. 

 

Eileen is survived by her children, Lynne (Oscar) Miller, Susan (Jim) Fuller, and Kathleen Bowers; five grandchildren, Tim (Tisha) Bowers, RoseAnne Bowers, Wayne (Denise) Robinson, Charles (Jessica) Bowers, Samantha (Lonnie) LaRue, and Addie Fuller; great-grandchildren, Damian, Lexis, Zane, Tesha, Will; great-grandchildren, Juniper, Daxton, and Avery; sister-in-law, Sal Livingston; other relatives and many friends.

 

Celebration of Life:  1:00-3:00 p.m .Monday, January 8th at the Gower Christian Church.  The family suggests wearing your favorite teams gear to honor Eileen.

Donations may be made to the church or Shriners Children Hospital.
