Deanna Joyce Clifton, 77, of Hoover, MO passed away, Thursday, April 18, 2019.

She was born on February 27, 1942 in Wathena, Kansas to Irving Thomas Cordonier and Lenna Margaret Plautz. Deanna graduated from Park Hill high school in 1960, she was the captain of the cheerleading squad and the prom queen her senior year. 

On April 17, 1960 she was united to David R. Clifton. After their marriage they lived in Platte County where they made their home. 

Deanna worked for TWA for 37 1/2 years and retired from Platte County R3 school district. An avid lover of music, she sang and played the piano and organ at Hoover Christian Church, where she was a member, for the last 49 years. Deanna will be missed as a loving mother and wife.

Deanna was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Gary and Larry; and sister, Katherine.

She is survived by her husband David R. Clifton; three children: Tom Clifton, Lisa (Kyle) Turco, and Will (Kimberly) Clifton; four grandchildren: Alex, Kaley, Abbi, and Ava. Along with her sister MaryLynn Stone, and brothers Brian and Michael; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 23rd at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home in Smithville with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Burial: Platte City Cemetery.
