Pete Keller

Lindsay Dwayne (Pete) Keller, 59, of Platte City, Missouri passed away on May 10, 2024, at St Luke’s Northland.

Pete was born on March 28, 1965, to Betty Louise (Ball) Keller and Linell D. Keller in Leavenworth, Kansas. Pete grew up in the Camden Point area and attended North Platte High School in Dearborn, Missouri where he graduated in 1983. Pete played baseball for the North Platte Panthers and always remained an avid baseball fan. After high school, Pete went on to graduate from DeVry Institute of Technology specializing in electronics.

Pete was united in marriage on January 10, 1987, to his high school sweetheart Deanna (Carter) Keller. In 1993 they welcomed their daughter Lindsay Deanna. Pete was able to continue his passion of baseball by coaching Lindsay as a softball pitcher throughout her childhood and high school years in club ball. Spending this time with her was his greatest joy.

He also found great joy with his many four legged friends especially his cocker spaniel, Elvis. With his passion for cars, most recently you could find him cruising around town with the wind in his hair or at a local car show with his ‘65 Shelby Cobra. Following his dad’s love for the “Redbirds”, Pete was a loyal St. Louis Cardinals fan, but on a “special occasion”, he could be found in a KC Royals jersey.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents Betty and Linell Keller and his brother Rick Pine.

Pete is survived by his wife Deanna and daughter Lindsay both of Platte City; sister Lindell Lindsay, brother Ben (Lisa) Keller as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

A celebration of life will be held Friday, May 17th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at New Market Christian Church, 18 Mill Street, Dearborn, MO 64439.

Donations may be made to the KC Pet Project.
