Marva Kay Stuart, 86, of Smithville, MO passed away, November 8, 2023.

She was born on March 20, 1937, to Amos Melvin and Goldie Ethel (Chapman) Wolf in Guilford, MO where she grew up and graduated from South Nodaway High School.

On September 3, 1955, she was united in marriage to James Truman Stuart. After their marriage they lived in St. Joseph, MO, Kansas City, MO and in 1973 they moved to Smithville where they made their home. Her husband, Jim, passed away on May 27, 2010.

Marva loved playing softball, bowling, was an avid sports fan and enjoyed attending Opry Shows. She always stayed busy working on her house or outside in her yard and garden. Most of all she loved watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and spending time with her family. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Jim; her parents Amos and Goldie Wolf; and five brothers and sisters Violet Gorsuch, Junior Wolf, Wilmer Wolf, Mabel Throckmorton, and Hilda Carney.

She is survived by her children, Steven (Cheryl) Stuart, Shari (John) Godfrey and Jeff (Jody) Stuart; grandchildren, Tricia (Wade) Hecker, Amanda Godfrey, Johnny (Lindsey) Godfrey, Connor Stuart and Chloe Stuart; six great-grandchildren, Julian, Karson, Addison, Lucien, Lincoln, and Laynee; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. with Funeral Services at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 14th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville

Burial: Community of Smithville Memorial Cemetery, Smithville, MO.
