Mary Lee Ellen (Nunnally) Foster, 91, of St. Joseph, MO formerly of Agency, MO passed away December 17, 2020.

She was born on June 15, 1929 to Willie Delbert and Jewel Mae (Stevens) Nunnally in Dibble, Oklahoma. Mary grew up in rural Dibble, Oklahoma and graduated from Washington High School in Washington, Oklahoma. 

Mary met Eugene Franklin Foster while he was stationed in Oklahoma serving in the U.S. Army. On May 5, 1951 she married Eugene in Salinas, California. After their marriage and Eugene’s Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Army, they moved to Agency, MO where they made their home. In 2009 they moved to St. Joseph, MO. Eugene passed away on February 12, 2017.

Mary worked for the State Hospital in St. Joseph, MO as a Storekeeper II. She enjoyed traveling and attending Blue Grass Festivals. 

She was preceded in death by husband Eugene Foster; her grandson Robert Reed, III; her parents Willie and Jewel Nunnally; and her brother John Nunnally.

Mary is survived by son Anthony “Tony” Foster and wife Brenda; daughter Judy Reed and husband Bobby; granddaughter Courtney Foster; great-granddaughter Zoey; other relatives and many friends.
