Marjorie Williams

Marjorie J. Williams, 86, of Agency, MO passed away Sunday, June 30, 2019.

She was born on November 27, 1932 to Joseph Stephen and Thelma (Patterson) Middleton in Blair, Kansas. Marjorie grew up in rural Agency and graduated from Gower High School in 1950. 

On August 31, 1951 she was united in marriage to Lorin Homer Williams, Jr. After their marriage they lived near Agency where they farmed and made their home. Homer passed away on July 8, 1999.

Marjorie was an active member of the Frazier Baptist Church and later, Grace Evangelical Church in St. Joseph. 

She drove a school bus for the East Buchanan School District for many years. Marjorie volunteered for the Southside Food Kitchen, served on several mission trips in Haiti and housed several children through foster care. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, flowers, singing, was an avid mushroom hunter and loved being with her family. 

She was also preceded in death by her parents and sister Nadine LaFave.

Marjorie is survived by her children Keith (Carol) Williams, Jean (Stan) Martin, Susan (Randy) Haskins, Joe (Paula) Williams and John (Janet) Williams; 21 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; sister Doris Jo (Eldon) Sowards; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. 

 Visitation: 1:00-2:00 p.m. with Funeral Services at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 3rd at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower Burial: Frazier Cemetery

Donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association or Great Plains Hospice.
